Make the most of Microsoft 365
1. Get where you want faster with Search
Many people have struggled to find a specific feature in an app. For example, adjusting margins or expanding page space in Microsoft Word sounds simple but can be tricky.
Have you ever been stuck, feeling lost in the digital labyrinth while trying to find a certain feature? Experiencing searches that are as fruitless and exhausting as walking through an endless hall of mirrors! An all-too familiar experience is attempting to expand page space within Microsoft Word – what should be a simple task so often turns into something exasperating.
2. Leverage the Free Stock Images, Icons & Videos
When promoting your business, visuals are important. Websites, brochures, and presentations need quality images, but these do not have to be expensive.
When using images for business, it is important to avoid copyright issues. Instead of using images from a Google search, look for royalty-free photos that are safe to use.
Microsoft Office offers a large library of free visuals, including videos, icons, and 3D models, in apps like PowerPoint and Excel. These can help improve your marketing projects.
Find them by going to Insert > Pictures > Stock Images
You can easily add images and videos to your document or presentation using the tab at the top. This saves time spent searching for media.
3. Get the Most Out of Your Spreadsheets with Data Types!
In Excel, you can quickly find information on many topics, such as city populations or nutrition data. This makes it easier to discover useful insights.
Excel’s data types feature lets you add facts and figures on many topics, like yoga or chemistry, directly to your spreadsheets.
Start by adding your list (e.g., a list of menu items)
Highlight your list.
Then, click the Data tab.
In the Data Types window, choose the type of data it is (e.g., Food, Plant, etc.).
Next, click the small database icon that appears at the top of the list.
Choose the type of data you want.
The details will populate into the next open column on the right for each list item.
4. Need more time to focus on what matters?
With Microsoft Forms in M365, you can easily create surveys, polls, and questionnaires. Gathering feedback is simple, and you get results as soon as people respond.
You can access your results directly in Excel for further analysis, such as creating graphs or adding the data to templates.
5. Unlock your presenter superpowers with PPT’s Presenter Coach
Presenting to clients or your team can be stressful, especially in virtual meetings. Still, you can share your ideas with confidence.
You can improve your presentation skills with PowerPoint’s Presenter Coach. This feature uses AI to give you feedback on things like pacing and filler words, helping you become a better public speaker.
If you’re feeling the pressure of a big presentation, don’t worry!
6. Streamline your email workflow with Outlook’s Quick Parts
Are there certain messages that your customers need to know? Whether they’re looking for directions or support, you can make sure these essential details reach them with automated emails full of helpful information.
Outlook’s Quick Parts feature lets you save time by inserting pre-saved text blocks into your emails, so you don’t have to type them each time.
Create a Quick Part by highlighting the text to save in an email.
On the Insert Menu, click Quick Parts.
Save Quick Part.
To reuse a message from another email, use the same menu and click the Quick Part button to insert your saved text.
7. Need to quickly copy and paste text without formatting?
You can use a keyboard shortcut to paste text as plain format in MS Word. This saves time and keeps your document free from unwanted formatting.
Need a super speedy way to get things done?
In Word, click File> Options.
Click Customize Ribbon.
At the bottom of the panel, next to Keyboard shortcuts, click Customize.
Scroll in the left pane to All Commands.
Look for “PasteTextOnly”
Type your keyboard command, then click Assign.
